Cash boost benefits Dalton Army Cadets
The Army Cadet Detachment in Dalton was recently presented with a £2,500 from the Cumbria Police and Crimes Commissioner, enabling them to pay for Duke of Edinburgh kit and equipment.
Company Sergeant Major, Kenny Brown, told HuddleHub: “We received £2,500 from the Police Commissioner from the Sales of Crimes Fund. It was presented to us by Chief Superintendent Rob O'Connor.
We have purchased ten complete sets of hill walking and camping equipment so our Cadets can attend their Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh next month.
“Chief Superintendent Rob O'Connor from Cumbria Police HQ stepped in to help out as the Police Commissioner was engaged at another event. As well as handing us a cheque he handed out personal awards for our Cadets too, which was brilliant for both the cadets and for their parents to see”
