Lynwood Day Nursery celebrates 30 successful years
Local tots have fun as they celebrate their nursery’s thirtieth birthday.
The popular Newbarns Village based nursery has gone from strength to strength, as staff are continuously kept up to date with the latest training enabling them to offer lots of engaging and exciting activities to the children.
Established in 1989 by Keith and Diane Shereston at their home in Abbey Road, Barrow, Lynwood was set up as the first day nursery in South Cumbria with an attendance of just six children. After moving to Newbarns Village in 2002 and following much refurbishment as well as extending the building, the popular nursery is very much in demand with over seventy four children attending.
Deborah Oates, Nursery Manager and Director of Lynwood Day Nursery said: "All of our child practitioners have a Level 3 qualification or above. They are carefully selected to ensure they have the personal qualities needed to provide the highest standard of care. Giving children the best start in education prepares them for their next step in life as well as getting them ready for school."
Happy Birthday Lynwood!
