New taxi company delivers excellent customer service straight to your door
24/7 Barrow Taxi Service are a group of five family members who decided to set up and operate a local taxi company which would be run in a different way to other current taxi firms, through working in partnership with local businesses to grow both business and share personal connections.
The local family have all been part of the taxi trade for a number of years, whether it be operating from within the office or out on the road driving. Their driving experience ranges from a minimum of eight years up to over 20 years. Previously they have worked in a variety of professions including hospitality, care work and military service, therefore guaranteeing to offer a caring and professional service to the general public.
Using the most advanced booking and dispatch system in the town allows 24/7 taxis to stand out from their competitors, as not only does it allow them to manage a larger fleet of vehicles, it also enables the operator to quote fares accurately over the phone at the touch of a button.
Booking is easy too and can be made using their advanced booking app, "24 7 Barrow Taxis" where you can book your journey in as little as 3 taps, and track your car all the way to your doorstep.
Over the phone bookings can also be made on 01229 474747, and once a booking is confirmed the customer will receive a text message with a link that they can click showing them the exact location of their taxi.
Payments can be made using UBARO , an app based taxi booking system which allows for payments to be taken via the app, which is perfect for sending the kids to school without rushing around in the morning having to worry about finding cash for the journey. Simply select "card" as the method of payment and the amount is simply taken at the end of the journey. As easy as that. All bookings made via the app show an estimated price too, prior to booking.
A maximum of four customers are currently allowed to travel together in their taxis, and strict Government guidelines are adhered to as they continue to change. A strong sense of pride in the 24/7 taxis ethos means all cars cleaned and sanitised throughout the ongoing pandemic, plus all drivers carry face coverings in their cars, as well as hand sanitiser if needed.
Contract bookings are welcomed and 24/7 are currently working with a nationwide supplier in connection with railways and breakdown companies to provide transport to anywhere in the country, and being able to offer eight seater vehicles means there is plenty of leg room and space for luggage
A loyalty programme offering discounts to all NHS, Care Workers and Emergency Services is in the pipeline at the minute and the team have run competitions ranging from free taxi giveaways to a family evening out, all paid for by 24/7.
Being self-employed allows the new company directors to adapt their business to meet the demand of the people at the drop of a hat. They can make more cars available at the surge times of the day meaning you can rely on them to provide the service you need at the time you need it
Bret Higham, one of the business owners told us: “We have big plans to grow our customer base and increase our awareness and relationships within the town. We also work with other local businesses as we continue to expand including "The Garage inc" on Raglan St who do an amazing job of looking after our cars.
“We support "UOKLAD" a local charity dedicated to Men's Mental Health. These guys are doing an amazing job of raising awareness and letting people know it's okay not to be okay. We have sponsored a local pool league in anticipation of them starting up again and as we go along we will look at other local causes that help the town. With us all being local we are eager to give back to the town who have shown us nothing but amazing support and given amazing feedback from the moment we set out.
“We also have free apps for iPhone and Android, "24 7 Barrow Taxis" . UBARO is also available for free download too, and bookings can be made on www.ubaro.co.ukExciting times are ahead for us so keep your eyes peeled and see our Facebook page for our next giveaway to help families at Christmas time”
