Police investigating after man attacked with brick sustaining serious injuries in Barrow

Police are investigating an incident of affray, assault and grievous bodily harm that occurred on 13th January, at around 4:45am in an alley beside Corporation Terrace, Barrow.

During the incident, a man in his 40’s was assaulted with a brick and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to Furness General Hospital and later discharged.

A 19-year-old man from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a bladed article. He has been released on police bail.
